For decades economic inequality has been a major crippling issue for the low and middle class in America. However, last year's unprecedented events just showed how prevalent the wealth gap in the country continues to impact several people across various cities. In order to help people across the country receive the basic necessities, an initiative called Mayors For Guaranteed Income was launched. Its goal is to provide people with straight cash payments. Former mayor of Stockton, California Michael Tubbs, joined Cheddar to discuss more about the initiative.
