Between Bells and Cheddar news with that and you know, all the way back in 2003 and a young comedian got his big break, selected to join that cast of that amazing sketch comedy show called Mad TV and that move would transform his career and changed the entire trajectory of his life forever. And yes, we are talking about the one and only Jordan Peele. Hi, I'm Jordan peele and action totally love my nails right now. Now, while a lot of fans might have been surprised, surprised and even confused at the timing, the pair soon revealed what they had up their sleeves. The duo then found themselves involved in numerous projects, including the first season of FX's hit series Fargo, which by the way was the best of all of the seasons when they were the detectives, the pair then produced and starred in the movie Quiano which was written by peel, but he still had his sights set on bigger things. Even if he had his doubts at the time. Yeah, many were wondering if Jordan peele could make the jump from sketch comedy to writing and let's not forget directing turns out peel was among those with those doubts. He's admitted questioning if his debut film get Out would even get made. In an interview back in 2018, he said, I thought no one would ever make this movie. I kept coming back to it because I knew if someone let me make this movie, people would hear it and people would see it and by the way, not wrong at all. His debut was a critically claimed the box office success culminating with an Oscar win for best original screenplay. He also made history that Oscar night he became the first black screenwriter to win an award in that category. Now, once peel proved his merit as a filmmaker, well then the sky was the limit. His next film us starring Lupita Nyongo, made 255 million at the global box office. Then he co produced and co wrote the 2021 sequel to Candyman all through his Monkey paws productions Though through multiple delays, the movie was still theatrically released in 2021 of August two positive reviews. And that leads us to his newest film, Nope, I can never tell me. What did you see in the cloud. It's not what you think. He took me. They took him off. I'm trying to save you is out there. I don't think they do. If you don't look at it. No. What what the And the film is being compared to sci fi classics like close encounters of the third kind and has an 83% on rotten tomatoes so far over the weekend, the film released in reeled in 44 million domestically. The best for an original film since Jordan Peel's us back in 2019. Hit after hit. Well, we don't know appeals. Next film will be at least yet when you're breaking your own box office records, He gets a call of shots, you can do whatever you want, just think about that. He made $40 million Peele on Mad TV. No one if someone told me this is where he's gonna end up in a few years. And probably with the same with his comedy central show as you mentioned, Michael Key. I mean I had no idea that this sort of person has that sort of artistic ability to create something like this. And the critical acclaim from Get Out, allowed him to sort of create this roadmap for all these different sorts of characters. And the best part about these horror films, there's still sort of dark comedies at the same time. There's certain elements that you're like, wow, that is also really funny. Now the other thing is you mentioned, we don't know what else he's doing in terms of directing. He hasn't really announced any sort of other projects down the road. But he also has a voice actor. I mean he's doing stuff with bob's burgers still right now. Big Mouth right now. He's also don't forget he narrated the twilight zone reboot that just came out to paramount plus a few years ago. So even though he's only selectively directing things, he still does go in front of the camera or does voice acting for a bunch of other things where we still sort of get that traditional Jordan peele that we've always loved in front of the screen and by the way for horror films, most of the time there weren't that many people of color in those know exactly, just blew that open. And I love not, not even just like in front of the camera, but directing as well. Like you don't even have that across the board at all.
