A.I. Customer Support Startup Aisera Raises $90 Million in Series D Funding Round

sarah wants to improve the often frustrating and yes time consuming customer support experience by using predictive Ai to respond to new requests. Companies platform uses algorithms to auto resolve customer service I. T. Sales and operations issues and it just really 90 million in a series B round led by Goldman Sachs. So pretty big backing and support there. So joining me now is Madu Sudhakar co founder and Ceo by Sarah Madu thanks so much for coming on the show and tell me how your company is trying to improve the customer service experience. Thank you christian for having me. It's a great news today for us as well as you mentioned at Goldman Sachs and Thoma bravo and zoom like you're using chatter. Zoom zoom is also an investor in our company today all three of them. So we're excited about this news and we have a lot of customers using us. Remember the customers of dislikes like the car to you mentioned it and Grant thornton we are coming like autodesk so we have a whole lot of both large and small customers trying to use us to automate customer service for both internal employees, external customers and users. The in which we do it is as you mentioned it rightfully is using AI at the core is deep learning algorithms using NLP natural language processing and something we innovated a lot called unsupervised Ai because we really want to take the human equation out of the loop and see what all the flows we can automate from the time a user you ask a question or the other problem, troubleshooting to resolve it? End to end Right. If I can solve the problem into the idea is to grow your companies and scaled particularly in this economy. Like we're talking about, we're coming out of decision, right? People want to do more with less. They want to continue to grow and that's where we are focused on precision. So $90 million 90 million to grow the company? Well, the company from, we're still a four year old company. We have a long way to go. I'm just to hire employees right across the board. We need people in product engineering. There are customer service. We need to help people in sales, marketing, all of the areas, finance or building their team across. We have operations in Palo alto in Seattle, we have a team in europe and we have a small team, we're starting in India so they won't hire across all continents. Right. Right. As people are coming to do, we still do hybrid work. We're trying to get back to offices a couple of days a week. So it's uh in the post, Covid challenging times to hire people and to grow the company. How have you seen the need for customer service and improvements in that space Madou rise during these past few years of the pandemic. Especially as people have been working sometimes in isolation as well as at home. No, I think for us what happened during this covid time right back in 2020 we saw people have to do everything. None of us have done that in our lives. It's a pandemic. Is a what we call generational time once in a lifetime situations like this happen. So we have to use our technology to help customers really try to handle I. T. Support. Let's say if your laptop is not working we have an issue with your online subscription. You want to get your virtual application working. So our goal is to provide as monday and highly repetitive tasks so that you are probably working from home while you're attending to your needs and your family and work. But at the same time trying to keep you productive and your company going. So doing that both in the end customer service. When a user comes in and says my license is not working here. I don't have an access to my account. We've got to solve both building issues, sales and marketing, customer service. The request will be all part of the nature right? And the users also could be everybody could be a teenager all the way to a senior citizen. So and everybody language will be different. So natural language is at a point where we are able to revert to a point where the algorithms are good enough to understand and able to resolve almost 7080% of the request out. Right?
