Actors Momona Tamada and Keith L. Williams Talk New Film with Owen Wilson

Welcome back to Between Bells, when a group of kids discover the secret headquarters of one of the world's most powerful superheroes and their friends dad hidden beneath their friend's house. Their story quickly takes a turn when villains attacked the rag tag team of friends must defend the headquarters and save the world. The film has the star power of Owen Wilson Jesse Williams, Michael Pena and our next guest cheddar News, sat down with actors Ramona, tomato and keith l Williams to discuss, Take a look, Ramona and keith, thank you guys so much for joining us today. Hi now you both star alongside some very heavy hitters, Owen Wilson Michael Pena and Jesse Williams in this film, Secret Headquarters, it looks amazing, so keith, I gotta start with you, what was it like working along these alongside these amazing stars? I feel like working with all of them was a dream come true because getting everybody at once, like Charles melton on Wilson Jesse, Williams, Michael Pena, like literally all the people that I've loved for so long and being able to like vibe out with their energy and being actual scenes with them? Yeah, it was amazing. That's pretty cool, Mona, Did you maybe learn anything from them that you can learn that you can use in your acting career? Oh yeah, I think it's like they were all very like into like passionate about really making sure like the story was being told and that was really interesting to me also kind of just being able to kind of improv and have this kind of freedom and kind of step outside of your comfort zone was really cool to um that was working especially with the adults, they were really able to push us and kind of get us to explore a lot more. That is awesome. Now keith in the film, your group of friends discover the headquarters to the most powerful superhero in the world, which just so happens to be your best friend's dad. So how would you describe this new film in three words? Um let's see out of this world, adventurous and action back, but it's kind of the second word. It works, it works okay, so Ramona now your turn, what would you say? Three words? Um Okay. Teamwork Also action packed and last one like friendship or like that kind of work to it all works, Family adventure. Yeah, there you go. It all makes me want to see it even more. But I gotta ask you also Ramona, you know this action packed film? You guys use some pretty high tech tools so what was the challenge of using that? Because I I assume some of it was C. G. I. And stuff like that. So what was the most challenging part of filming like a movie like that? I think it's like you have to imagine what it's gonna look like. So like in the moment you don't know so you just you have to really use your imagination so that's a little bit difficult like how would this be affecting you like this motion but it was really cool to kind of just see it all come together in the end. Okay, so keith if you could take home one of those high tech power tools and like take it home like I'm just going to keep this from set, what would that be? Which which piece magnetic rod, what does that do? And basically like literally it's kind of in the name like it moves metal only. Yeah, like a little one. Okay, okay, so like some magneto skills from X men. I got you. Okay, literally mona, what about you? What you take? I've been saying this with a jacket, kind of Maya's gadget that I use, it's like really kind of like functional and I think it would come in handy and like I don't know, just everyday life. It's also really cute jacket. There you go, cute functional tech. I like it. Alright, so now I gotta go on to, I know that you both have done a lot of television, film, especially working on high action packed films like Secret Headquarters. So keith, which one do you perform more tv film and why film, film because like tv there's, there's always like a new story but doing like one movie, I feel like it's good but I'm not, I'm not knocking tv Right, you'll take a check from either one, let's be clear look Ramona. What about you? Do you agree? I agree. I think with film you can take time to film stuff like with tv it's very fast, it's like a lot of stuff that you got to get through but you know for this it was like you really get to take your time and do a lot of takes, which I really like the same thing. I love them both. People are honest. Now you think you're better on the first take or like the fifth take after you've done it a few times. Yeah, sometimes we would get in the first state and it's like yeah okay we love when the magic happens. Alright so the cast on this film and I mean it's amazing to say the least. But what was it like to work alongside so many other kids and did the energy on set become like you guys are best friends or were you guys just you know working actor friends, 100% best friends. Uh I feel like we all just played that very well like honestly on set at lunch we eat lunch together in a trailer like every single day. Oh that's awesome and real quick, we only have about 30 seconds left. How did you guys prepare for this high action role because there's a lot of stuff going on this keith go first, I prepared for this role by like realizing who I'm playing and how I'm playing the character more so I agree for my just kind of had to step into her shoes and like imagine what that would be like. I also Henry the lock picking kit, I guess. Practice lockpicking, that was so cool, but that was a little bit of prep. I did. I love these kids thanks to actors Amona Tamada and Keith L. Williams.
