Adobe Unveils Creative Design Updates

Adobe Zmax creativity conference kicking off today as the software giant unveils updates for its creative cloud services that are used by millions of people around the world. They include Photoshop Lightroom premiere and after effects and according to adobe, 90% of the world's creative professionals use Photoshop and many will be tuning in to see the new cutting edge tools available. So joining me now, is Ashley still senior vice president of Creative cloud? Adobe. Ashley thanks so much for coming on the show. Walk me through some of the big announcements that adobe made today regarding a suite of apps. Thank first. Thank you so much for having me. It's great to be on the show and to share what we're so excited about at adobe max first. It's just great to be back in person. This is the first time that we've been in person at max since 2019. Um baby Max is the world's largest creativity conference. We have over 6000 people attending in L. A. and millions more tuning in online. So definitely a hybrid event for a hybrid world. Um and and as you said, you know, we just have a ton of innovation that we've announced at max. You mentioned Photoshop all creativity and design really begins with Photoshop and we announced a number of breakthrough ai features that are powered by adobe sensei. That's our ai engine. Things like being able to click and automatically delete an object and you can see that on the screen now with one click delete and fill and uh and other capabilities in uh in Photoshop as well. In premiere pro we have auto color again, another ai driven feature that takes uh you know, tedious color corrections and makes them fast and simple in premiere pro we also made a number of announcements around our three D. Product line as well. Not just for metaverse use cases, but we see retailers more and more updating their design pipelines and creating really engaging customer experiences with three D. We announced an entirely new applications substance three D. Modeler where you can actually nvr cree three D models with your hands. It's like sculpting in virtual reality. It is so cool and it's definitely Ashley. There's so many cool things that you're outlining here. I want to go bit by bit but I do want to go back to Photoshop just for a second. I mean we're all in this digital world these days and certainly e commerce and digital presence is absolutely key. How is that impacting the demand that you've seen for some of these creative products and services that Adobe offers. Yes. Uh demand is incredibly strong and and we see really two trends. First, businesses need to be digital business. And so the demand for Photoshop and our creative tools within whether it's small medium or enterprise customers is strong. Um and I'll give you an example. Chipotle obviously is uh since the pandemic has moved much more to online ordering but people are now used to it. And so we're working with Chipotle to completely reimagine and redesign the order ahead experience on web and mobile And that requires images and graphics. So that's how you know Photoshop illustrator and of course all of our adobe analytics and and experience products as well and the digital experience side of the business. But it's also for creators and you know, never have more what we call communicators or consumers. They have a story to tell and you know, they're not professional designers but they're creating more content than ever before. So you have 100 and 65 million people that joined the creator economy just in the last couple of years and we have a new product that was released in december called Adobe express. This template driven web based. It's a fact just an easy way to have all the access access to all of the amazing technology that Jobe has, but in a really simple and easy to use interface online. So we see again more of this power and precision for our creative professional and business customers and the creator economy really driving a huge opportunity for communicators and consumers with fast and easy Web based template driven tools. So we're excited about both Creative cloud and Adobe Express. So, and I want to go back to the first question in topic we were discussing as well just in terms of the new updates that are coming and heading into these winter months, of course the school years underway, people will always be creating, that's for sure. What do you expect to see some of the most popular offerings that Adobe has on slate here. So we made updates across Creative Cloud and of course Photoshop as you mentioned, is one of our most used application. I think the ai capabilities in Photoshop will be incredibly popular. And actually over the past two years we've had over a billion um engagement or billion uses of our ai features in Photoshop and lightroom. And in addition we also adding collaboration to Photoshop. So you can now easily share documents for review and this is very common for creative professionals to need to get feedback from stakeholders and other people that were working with and that's tedious and over email And we basically simplified all of that and brought comments into the application itself. So I think that will be incredibly popular as well. Um and then of course all of the video and 3D updates that we announced as well.
