As of this morning, the national weather service put most of the midwest in several Northeastern states under a heat advisory and it's expected to persist through at least Friday. The Southwest will also continue to have far above average temperatures. The mega millions jackpot went up again. No one won. Tuesday's $820 million drawing the jackpot is now $910 million. The big drawing is Friday. This is the fifth largest mega millions jackpot in history. The biggest win was back in 2018 when a lucky ticket holder in South Carolina scored $1.5 billion. The US has announced the next group of women slated to be on quarters in 2024. The new coins will feature Paul Murray, the first African American woman to an episcopal priest in the US Patsy Takimoto Mink, the first woman of color, elected to the US House doctors, Mary Edward Walker, a civil war surgeon who was awarded a medal of honor and of course the queen of Salsa Celia Cruz and indigenous activist.
