While masks may not be the most comfortable accessory to wear, the mission to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 has led to them being a global norm. However, issues like earaches, bruised skin, and obscuring facial features are elements people have had to live with. Founder and CEO of solar-powered light company Solight Design, Alice Min Soo Chun, thought there had to be an alternative. Chun joined Cheddar to discuss the SEEUS95 respirator mask she patented, which she described as offering a comfortable fit while giving people the ability to see each other’s faces. The inventor and chief executive also went on to explain the importance, particularly, for young girls to explore their curiosity and to help keep moving the world forward as inventors themselves.
