Sean Aune, editor-in-chief at Techno Buffalo, discusses the new Movies Anywhere platform that syncs all of your iTunes, Amazon, Vudu, and Google Play accounts and makes all of your film purchases available on every platform. Cable providers are not yet available but Aune thinks they will be next. Disney, Warner Bros., Universal, Sony, and Twentieth Century Fox have all signed on, making a library of over 7,000 titles available to movie lovers. Aune discusses the competition this will create among the various platforms, because you will be able to see how much iTunes and Amazon are charging for the same film, ultimately benefitting consumers.
