Maryland Bans Flavored Disposable E-Cigarettes
Maryland will become the first state in the nation to ban all flavors of disposable e-cigarettes, with the exception of tobacco and menthol. This comes after President Trump's administration banned popular cartridge based fruit and mint flavors, but allowed disposable e-cigs and e-liquids of any flavor to remain available. The man behind the decision, Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot, joined Cheddar to discuss.

Lawmakers Look to Crack Down on Juul's "Candy-Flavored" Poisons
Lawmakers are stepping up efforts to crack down on the e-cigarette flavors that are fueling popularity in vape companies such as Juul. a new bill proposal, called "Stopping Appealing Flavors in E-Cigarettes for Kids" would require vape manufacturers to prove their flavorings aren't harmful, or else the products would be yanked from the market. is Rachel Becker, Science Journalist at The Verge, joined to discuss.
