'Analog Astronauts' Living on Mock Mars Base

In case you missed it. Four scientists are getting a taste of life on Mars without ever stepping foot on a spaceship. The four NASA analog astronauts are living in a mock Mars base located inside the Johnson Space Center in Houston. For the next year, Baker will be live streaming the entire journey. The crew health and performance exploration analog mission will help NASA better prepare and understand what it takes to have crewed missions to Mars. This crew had to pass the same physical test that all astronauts have to complete. They'll eat from a limited menu of space foods and what they can grow. They will deal with Mars like communication delays a message that will take 22 minutes to reach them from earth. That's a long time to get a message. They'll also be conducting simulated spacewalks and research. The four subjects will not exit the 1700 square foot enclosure until July 7th 2024. At this point, I'd be like to send me to Mars, right.
