In a first-of-its-kind coalition, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is partnering with Anheuser-Busch and Uber to take anti-drunk driving to a new level and ultimately save thousands of lives. The coalition will come to life through an ongoing campaign platform, Decide To Ride, across multiple consumer platforms to increase awareness and provide rideshare opportunities to help prevent drunk driving. Cesar Vargas, chief external affairs officer at Anheuser-Busch, and Heather Geronemus, chair of the board at MADD, joined Cheddar to discuss the significance of the campaign, the impact of the pandemic on alcohol-related traffic deaths, and how to change consumer behavior when it comes to drinking.
