Apple 'Far Out' Predictions With Tech Expert Stephanie Humphrey

we're all excited that Apple's far out event is finally here and tech geeks all around the world are gearing up to hear just what they have to say at today's event. Yeah, and of course that includes us right here at headquarters. So to help us break it all down to give us some insider info of what to expect is technology and lifestyle expert, Stephanie, Humphrey Stephanie. Good morning, Thanks for joining us. Good morning. Thanks for having me always. Great to have you here and we got to get into this far out event is scheduled for today at one p.m. Eastern time, 10 a.m. Pacific time. So what can we expect to hear from today's Apple folks and what's a given? So obviously the new Iphone 14 is definitely gonna be announced today. Uh, the Apple Watch series eight is pretty much a given and the official rollout of IOS 16, which comes with some really cool features. It's been in beta for a little while, but we're gonna see that as well. So those are three things that we can definitely, A lot of people as a tech insider are expecting potentially news on the iPhone 14. Are you expecting it to be exciting? Are you expecting to be a big advancement from the 13 model some years, Stephanie feels like a big jump from one model to the next other years. It feels like there's just small changes from the phone. Well, it's gonna depend on which phone you get because if you do pick up the pro model, they are supposed to be getting rid of this notch and replacing it with a tinier sort of pill sized cutout. So that will be a pretty big deal. If we see that in the iPhone 14 pro hopefully they'll just change the color. It's a new phone. It's exactly so new. Alright, well everyone is excited about the upgraded gadgets, they want to get new stuff, you know, especially with the holidays but it comes as a cost and what are we hearing about the price tag for the iPhone 14 and is in any way in normal range that can we afford it? Well, again, it depends on which one you get. If you get the regular iphone 14 or the iphone 14 plus which may be called the iphone 14 max. Uh those are expected to live in that normal range starting right around 7 49. The plus would be 8 99. But if you do upgrade to that pro model you can expect to pay about $100 more than we paid last year for the iphone 13. Okay, so Stephanie, obviously tons of rumors out there aside from just the iphone 14 as to what apple is going to announce today. So we want to play a little rapid fire game with you just to get a little bit more expert insight Shane and I are gonna list off a bunch of rumors all created from our producer joe this morning. You just give us your expert insight of saying, is this likely somewhat likely or unlikely. Is that okay? That's perfect. Let's do it. Alright, let's start the first one up. Iphone 14 being able to shoot video in eight K. What do you think that is likely if the pro models? Yeah. If the pro models get uh the upgraded 48 megapixel camera that's expected the ability to shoot eight K video will go right along with me. Here we go. I'm ready. Okay, so body temperature sensors and the Apple watch. That is also likely the series eight is expected to have a body temperature sensor which is gonna actually help with things like sleep and fertility tracking. So, we are expecting to see that. All right, Stephanie any news on new ipads. What do you think? No, that's unlikely. The ipad event usually happens in october So, we'll be looking for that then. Okay, this is something everyone needs. Especially baker a find my feature for your airpods always lose. So, I do that. I think that's somewhat likely. Airpods themselves already are a part of the find my network. What they are rumored to be introducing is find my for the case. So, if you actually lose the case, you can. It'll be a part of the find my network as well. So, we'll see. I think that's somewhat likely. Yeah. I just need to get a chain or something to connect to my body because I always I'm losing my airpods? Next one removal of sim cards. Is that potentially likely? I'm gonna say unlikely This time around. Uh, Iphone 13 models already had dual sims where the S. M. And the physical sim card were, were both present in the phone. Eventually this will happen. But I think we're gonna see it next year as opposed to with this announcement. All right. A lot of exciting stuff to look forward to at the far out event. Maybe they'll even go to space with people.
