Elsewhere, an Arkansas resident has died after being infected with a rare brain eating amoeba. The Arkansas Department of Health said the person contracted the rare infection called neglia Foy. The person was likely exposed to a pool and splash pad at the country club of Little Rock. Well, the infection destroys brain tissue and causes brain swelling and in some cases death. The centers for disease control and prevention confirmed a sample from the splash pad contained variable malaria and ferry and the country club has voluntarily closed the pool and splash pad. But there weren't any further details about the person who died.
