Artist Trevor Paglen is responsible for creating artwork that's out of this world, literally. His newest project, Orbital Reflector, is a 100-foot satellite that will orbit that earth every 180 minutes. The diamond-shaped satellite can be viewed at night without the use of a telescope. The Berlin-based artist says he wanted to create a satellite that had no military, scientific, or commercial value. Paglen is enlisting the help of SpaceX to get his artwork into orbit. He says that the cost of the installation is comparable to having an exhibit on Earth. Orbital Reflector is expected to launch in the summer of 2018.
