Athletes, Pro Sports Leagues Using Platform to Spread Black Lives Matter Movement Message

On Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway, a noose was placed in the garage stall of Bubba Wallace, NASCAR's only active black driver. This came less than 2 weeks after Wallace successfully pushed for the banning of confederate flags at NASCAR races. While NASCAR, the FBI and the Department of Justice investigating Sunday's incident, Wallace said of the person who placed the noose in his garage stall, "Sorry I'm not wearing my mask, but I just wanted to show whoever it was that you're not going to take away my smile."
