The city of Atlanta has a storied past when it comes to uplifting and promoting the work of Black Americans and their impact on the community. The city’s latest move will honor Black musicians and entertainers with a walk-of-fame outside of Mercedes-Benz Arena in the downtown area. Catherine Brewton, co-chair of Georgia’s Entertainment Caucus, joined Cheddar to discuss the Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame and why the city was the fitting location to bestow such honors. The inaugural inductees include Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Atlanta native Usher.
