And state attorneys general from around the country are teaming up to stop a robo caller. Avid Telecom is a telecommunications company that's allegedly responsible for more than seven billion robo calls to people on the national do not call registry. According to the complaint, Avid would sell phone numbers, data and dialing software that enabled its customers to make mass robo calls. In a statement, a telecom lawyers say it has never been found by any court or regulatory authority to have transmitted unlawful traffic and it is prepared to meet with the attorney generals.
