Be Well: DIY Fall Floral Arrangement

Fall is a great time to showcase, you know, all the pumpkins and the fall foliage. So we are with Sam the Diy Huntress. So great to have you back on the show again. I'm so happy to be here. I'm so happy to like get our hands a little dirty today and I love it. So this is what the finished product should look like. Yeah. So this is like a really fun Fall floral arrangement. It's super easy to do. Wait until you see how easy this is is to do. And the best part is you can pretty much reuse it every year. So if you put the work in once you can keep it for like years to come, ok. So let's start, what kind of tools will we need to get this done? Ok. So all of the tools that we need are right here and basically all you need is some sort of blade or pumpkin cutting knife and then really just some sort of wire cutter if you're using faux flowers and that's it. Ok. So this is like what one of the those old called Exacto knives. It just has a cool handle. So this is just like fancy little utility knife. It tracks when you're not using it and then um you can use this or you can use a pumpkin carver if you already have one. But like don't feel pressured to go get one for a project like this. Ok. So now what kind of, I guess material is this is this just like plastic? So this is a foam pumpkin, super lightweight, super easy to work with and it cuts just like a regular pumpkin, which is so easy and so nice. Ok. So the first step is, well, I guess take out the tools, pick out the pumpkin and then what do we do? And so uh once you have your pumpkin, once you have your tools, what you're gonna do is you're gonna take your knife or your bleed and you're just gonna really cut the top of the pumpkin open. Now how do you know how big to go? This is the best part. Ok. You can just do what makes you happy? I love projects like that thing. The super secret thing is just do what makes you happy? Honestly, there's no right answer. You can just kind of cut and it does need to be perfectly straight because when you put flowers in it, it's gonna hide all the imperfections. Ok? Yeah, so we cut this hole and then what? So the hole is cut, there's no guts you have to take out because it's not a real pumpkin, which is great. And then literally, once the hole is cut, all you're gonna do is take your arrangement of and you're just gonna place them in there. And now how do they stay in place? So you can just kind of put them in there. If you want to do something tighter, you can put a foam block in there for me. I kind of like the loose organic arrangement. So I kind of just drop them in and let them fall like real flowers. And now do I have to glue this in? No, really? You just let it hang out just like this. That is how easy this project is. And like I said, you can reuse it for years to come.
