Be Well: How to Make Your Bathroom More Eco-Friendly 

Well as we plan out our holiday menus, there's something we should keep in mind our guests, especially those who have dietary needs. Absolutely. So our friend editor in chief of Naturally Danny Seal magazine, Danny Seu himself is here with some plant based items to have on hand. So nice to have you. You kind of look like Amy Smart. Say it again on our winter cover. I had to do a double take. Superimpose you into France. Hi guys. It seems like wherever you go, whether it's out to dinner or have people over there's always that one person who's like, oh, I'm vegan now. Like there's a lot of parameters to follow or it's someone who is dairy free for allergy reasons, egg free. Whatever the reason is, it's always good. We find the magazine to have a couple of staples in your freezer or in your pantry or refrigerator that just in case someone like that shows up, you can actually make them something not only nutritious and delicious, but it tastes like a real meal at the same time too. So the very first thing, it looks just like mayonnaise, right? This is Gwyneth Paltrow's favorite condiment. We know vegana. We've all tried. Yes. Right. The great thing about vegana that yes, you can use it on sandwiches as a regular mayo, but it's so versatile because it's a combination of good for you oil. So you can use it as an egg replacer when you're baking the best brownies and chocolate cake you'll ever make. So take a chocolate cake mix, mix this in a set of eggs. It comes out so good, like sour cream almost. But on a baked potato, on vegetables because what it does, it roasts everything really beautifully. You get that good fat, that crispiness. So it doesn't just taste like a plate of steamed vegetables. You made that sound really good. I know. Right. And I love that it has in multiple uses too. Right? And do as well. I think gravy is something that everybody loves. But obviously if you're making gravy from scratch, it's, you know, the, the remnants of turkey or roast beef or whatever. So you can actually stock up and have this in your pantry one. You can just buy gravy just like this at the health food store. You just heat it up. It's a vegan option so they can pour it all over their vegetables or their soy proteins or if you just have vegetable broth, what we love to do is just take a little bit of corn, starch, Sprinkle it in, whip it up and it thickens just like a beautiful, all right. Now, this looks like meat but is actually not meat. Yes, we're gonna go just a little bit further. So obviously you can go. That's, you can try it too. This is the Korean jerky. This is a vegan meat company out of Minneapolis called the Herbivorous Butcher. Now, you could obviously go to the supermarket and just buy those main, you know, mainstay kind of like proteins that they have. It's really good, right? It tastes like jerky hype. That's the Korean jerky. I'm the Korean jerk. I never, never, but it's high protein. It's all handmade and it's literally a vegan butcher shop in Minneapolis and they ship nationwide and they make the most incredible steaks and filets and fried chicken jerky. You do keep it refrigerated and is this as tough as a jerky or is this more like? No, this, this will be soft and tender. So this is a mozzarella but it's not really cheeses. So like what we discovered some of the best cheeses that melt beautifully. I was gonna say that some of them don't melt. So weird. Follow your heart. They make the world's best cheeses, whether it's mozzarella cheddar or even Parmesan. So this is something where you can also add like that crispiness on maybe some plain rolls. You could do a beautiful grilled cheese sandwiches like sort of a last minute thing for a kid where also you use the mayonnaise or the vegana on on the outside to crisp up and, but how does it do with macaroni and cheese? Incredible. Incredible. And what I actually love to do is take all the remnants and just toss it in with some cooked noodles. And you've got, you're a chef. I know I'm like, what do we do then? I love that. Um, ok, finally dessert. So we love Taran because Taran, these are the experts who make those coffee house syrups. This is new. It's um a dark chocolate pure made. So it's GMO free. There's no artificial flavors or colorings in it, but it's also 100% vegan. OK. Let's, that's like 100 that's what this segment is all about. So what's great about it is that you can take anything. Do you see how thick and beautiful this is? But if you had fresh strawberries, you had cookies like this but it gives tastes like chocolate. No. Well, it's real chocolate. Chocolate's always been vegan. Oh, I didn't realize that. Yeah. Yeah. But there's no milk products. Ok. Tastes so good. You never ceased to amaze us. Is that how you stay so slim? I couldn't take the cookies but I got the beef jerk. He was like this taste all healthy and this is why I'm not. Thank you, man.
