Be Well: Making Spooky Halloween Treats

We are ready for a Halloween party. I love what this table looks like. So talk me through Andrea some of the things we have. Can we start with this? Yeah, that's a sesame chicken. It's really easy to make on the stove. You just saute in a little sesame oil teriyaki. Notice the black se sesame seeds and some noodles on the bottom. I bought the black bowls at home goods and you could just put them on a tray so that serve them to your guests. We'll put them on a buffet and let them grab and graze, right? Which is great because it's easy to do. Although I might need a four. I know now down here, those are bad. That's great. That's Pumpernickel toast. All you need is a cookie cutter. And that's pumpkin butter, which is really delicious if you haven't had it and you just take some pumpkin puree, some apple juice, a little sugar. Pumpkin spice, cinnamon, cook it on the stove. Let it cool and you can jar them. They're great as gifts. You can serve them with toast. Really delicious. Wow. That looks amazing. And so does this, this reminds me of beetle juice. I love, it's just a pasta salad but it's you octopus, ink pasta, which is, these are black and white stripes. So it looks a little beetle juice but you can get linguini spaghetti bow ties all different types of pasta. And I love, especially for like a class party because it's, and you can put them in your kids' lunch box. So you're really talking about a little clementine and you use a celery stick as the stem. It's so cute. All right. Also cute. Is that pizza bagels, bagels went to the bagel store. You just put the bagels out, do your sauce and then use the cookie cutter to cut out the ghost shaped mozzarella. How did you? Now I see the the cut really simple and for this is this v or what is this? Is, this is medical tape. So these are juice boxes or you can also use um these are chocolate milk boxes and you wrap them around with the tape and then put a little black and white straw and you have something that's really fun and festive. If you do have like littler kids at party, it just makes it more fun. So much more fun. These are adorable. Yeah. So these are candy apples. So I think these are better because they're not as hard on your teeth. So you just take the candy apple, you dip it in the white chocolate, let it dry, then take the, the dark chocolate and make the eyes and the nose and the mouth and they're really fun and they're, they're like, great out on the table, great out on the table. Yeah, it's like a decoration and a dessert all in one, all in one. And so is this, so after the kids finish trick or treating, I like to serve some hot chocolate. You put a rim around the top of the cup but you get it to stick. I use some maple syrup. So you dip it in maple syrup. Then the sprinkles, put in the whipped cream. More sprinkles and then you have a Halloween treat, right? Because it looks, you know, so great with that little bit of extra. It just, oh, they're so pretty. And the kids love them. Yeah. Now is that cheese, that is American cheese, white American cheese on a pretzel rod? You tie them with a chive and you make little witch pretzel sticks. Yeah, that looks great. Isn't that fun? That's another great snack for kids. Put them in the lunch box or them when they get home from school before trick or treating. So that way they're not eating all the candy the entire time. They're a little bit, maybe a little bit. And what do we have here? Ok. This is a butternut squash soup or you can use pumpkin soup, but to make it a little bit more interesting, it's all about the topping here. We have bacon and some green onion. But you can do croutons. You could do crisp onions. You could do toasted seeds. Really? Your choice. And what's the white? The white is a little bit of sour cream on top. Oh, ok. And that's so cute. So, if you're cold after you go trick or treating. Yeah. So these are coffee cups. I love to keep them in the house around Halloween time and I bought those little hot cup sleeves on Amazon. You put them around the black cups and then you have like a festive way to serve coffee in the morning. I love that. You outdid yourself. Oh, thank you.
