Best Bets on Tonight's NBA Playoff Games

Alright, so let's go ahead and keep this conversation going joining us now. One of our absolute favorites. A friend of the show, it's Michael Jenkins, host of the daily tip. Alright, jenks first game tonight has the Grizzlies and the Wolves flipping to Minnesota. Grizz are 1.5 point favorites. Will they start to pull away in the series here? I think so at first glance you think oh you gotta go with Memphis here, but I do think it's the right side. It's a really, really short line. But during the regular season, Memphis was the best covering team against the number in the N. B. A. It was not close and they did something very, very clever in Game two, which was really reduced. Steven Adams has been a key part of that lineup, but they reduced his minutes so they could go up and down the floor of Minnesota and extend their perimeter defense. It worked. I think they figured out that formula. So I think they go into game three tonight in Minneapolis and get it done. Got to be a close game. But I got to roll with the Grizzlies here. I want to ask you about the total jinx because the series had really unnaturally high totals. Game two is 2 40 a half, only the second of its kind since 2000 and five. And that went under. What's your read on the total tonight of 2 38.5. God, I think in principle you just have to go under right, you cannot bet on over here and it's high for a reason we always say the number is the number. So it's not just put out there. Arbitrarily there's a reason why it's so high. However, I think at home this is a spot where you go to the under on the road this season. No one was hotter to the over than Minnesota. They hit the over 72% of the time. That's an incredible clip. However Back at home they only hit the over about 50% of the time. So I'm thinking you're getting a little value based on what we saw in the first couple of games. I'm gonna go to the under here Alex, can I ask you, do you agree you're taking the under on that? Yeah, I'm with jenks just on principle. You can't go over. You just, you just can't. All right, jenks the mavs and the jazz Utah favored by 6.5 at home tonight. What's your best bet in this one? I'm gonna grab the mavs and the points it doesn't look like Luca is going to play now. There's been some questions that in practice, he looks great, he feels great. So maybe there's a small possibility he will go, but the Mavericks don't want him to have to play unless he's 100%. But even without him what they did in Game two is what they're gonna try and do in game three, which is isolate Rudy Gobert if you're gonna score against the jazz, you don't want to do it on the outside. You want to hit from deep and so Jalen Brunson's gonna drive, he's gonna get his, he's gonna kick it out and maxi Kleber was huge in game two. The only question I have, you always ask if performances are, can be replicated, can maxi Kleber really be another scoring option for this team? The only shot 19% 19% from beyond the arc after the all star break. That is terrible. So can he kill continue to be consistent in this game in this series? I think he can but this number seems way too high for me. I expected to be close so I've got the points in Dallas alright, jenks the warriors are up to on the Nuggets as this series goes to Denver first couple of games weren't close but the line tonight, only a point and a half, a little fishy there is this where Denver finally gets one back. Maybe I this, this line makes no sense whatsoever. The warriors have dominated the Nuggets so I, I don't understand this. And when you see a line that doesn't make any sense. The first thing you should do is say, hmm I need to look at the other side, Maybe I should look at the Nuggets. Here's the thing though. We always say on the show, on the daily tip, make a case for the other side. You can easily make a case for the warrior steps be coming off the bench, it looks like he's gonna play tonight and get significantly more minutes than he's been getting. So that's huge for Golden State. What is the case you can make for the nuggets? I don't know if I can make one, it's just Nicola Yo Kitch, he has to play out of his mind. He's been stifled by Draymond Green in the first couple of games. So I'm gonna say you go with the warriors here, but I'm not gonna bet this game because this line tells me that the Nuggets might have at least one win in them. Well generally is it a good idea to start sprinkling some money on the warriors now while the value is still there? I think so, their second behind the sun's at plus 3 75 so there's not a ton of value there, Hannah, But the one thing is this, we know the public loves betting on the warriors and number two. This line is this, these odds are not going to get any better. So if you like Golden State, if you believe in what they're doing, particularly with Jordan's bull stepping up the way he has, get it now because you're not gonna get any better.
