to bring in our very own Olivia Harlan Dekker bet MGM host. So Olivia the RAMs open as 4.5 point favorites in their home stadium. How do you feel about this line by the way. It's so good to see you. I haven't seen you since our whole lives changed right? Yes. And I was gonna say I like seeing you standing up. I like this whole new look in the studio. This is nice. I get to see more of your outfit, which I appreciate. Yeah, the line here is good to me. It seems about right. It has gone up a little bit from 3.5 and I believe will keep creeping up. Look, the public loves the Bangles and the pros love the RAMs. In fact, many of the pros think it should be higher. I think a field goal game is very likely. So three, it seems like the right number to me. Look, if these playoff teams, if these playoff teams have taught us anything, it's don't get out of your seat the whole game because we have seen tight games, they've come down to the wire and neither one of these teams can be counted out when they're in a big hole. Both overcame double digit deficits in the conference championships to even make this game. Okay, so with all of this in mind, who are you picking against the spread? I like the Bengals to cover 4.5 and I've gone back and forth on this one. It's really tricky. I think the RAMs top to bottom are the better team. I like them to win but 4.5 is a little too tempting for me to ignore. I'm not a pro. So I take into account the swag factor. And the Bengals have that they're winning games with their quarterback sacked nine times. They're winning games down 18. And the loudest stadium in the NFL. And we know the Super Bowl is more of a corporate crowd right? It's never too crazy of a home advantage for either team. So even though it is in L. A. That shouldn't give the rams anymore points even for their true home games in the regular season they don't have that home field advantage. I love that you talk about their swag by the way because they really do have so much of the last three super bowls. I have had point totals of at least 54 a half points. As Vegas expected fireworks. The under has hit each time. So what's your gut telling you about this year's line of 48 a half. Well I like the game over traditionally the point total splits almost exactly 5050 over under in Super Bowl history. That's pretty incredible. This number seems pretty low to me. So you know with weather not being a factor I like the over but I'm more confident in the first half. Under In second half over. Get this in the last five super bowls. No one has scored in the first six minutes. So first halves traditionally show a slower start. So what do you think has to happen? And who will be M. V. P. For the Bengals to win this one? If the Bengals are winning borough is M. V. P. He's gonna fight through adversity and I think he needs 300 passing yards or who knows just going out on a limb. Maybe it's the star rookie kicker. Evan McPherson. He's won the last two games for them. A kicker has never won it. He's currently plus 10,000 at bed. Mgm Right now I believe so that one's kind of for fun but if he kicks the winning field goal maybe. Yeah absolutely. You never know I love seeing burrow in those glasses too by the way I hope that if he gets M. V. P. He's sporting those again because we just have to see him. Okay so what do you think has to happen on the other side? And who will win for the rams? Who will be the M. V. P. For the rams? And what do the rams have to do to win? I think it would have to be matt Stafford or Aaron Donald as M. V. P. Maybe Von Miller if he had three sacks or something great. But the reason I say those three names is because it's gonna be great line play on the defensive side for L. A. Or and maybe and a great pass attack for L. A. Which would go to the quarterback before it goes to the receiver. That's why I like matt Stafford more than Cooper Cup because if Cooper Cup has a great day, it's because matt Stafford did well Olivia, nobody around here loves football quite as much as you. In fact, you brought some of your favorite sides with you to help us get into the Super Bowl spirit. So what is the first one, by the way? I wish we were talking about buffalo chicken wing dip here, but we are not quite. Yeah. If you had to bring your team's favorite side dish, that'd be pretty good. Kansas City. I do barbecue. Okay, so that you mentioned earlier at the top of the show, it's just the second time we've ever had two. Number one overall pick starting at quarterback with cam Newton and Peyton manning being the first time. But look at this borough and Stafford were 11 years apart in their draft classes. That's pretty significant. And joe burrow is the quickest number one overall to make a Super Bowl. That's fantastic to me. Okay, so what's your second one? Your second side? So these two teams in the Super Bowl are a combined one in five. That's abysmal. They've gotten to this game and they lose this game. And the team that's the one win. It wasn't even in the current home, It was the ST louis rams back in 1999. So L. A. Rams. Yeah, this could be the first. All right. And lastly, Well the Bengals are the home team you mentioned and they have chosen to wear their black uniforms which I love. I think it looks really cool. And I also like the rams white uniforms because they're kind of a cream. I think they're really pretty. But I don't know if they're that lucky because the last 17 years, The team wearing white went 12 and five against the spread. So the Bengals may want to reconsider that and send another email follow up. Yeah, if there's any time to talk about uniforms, it's now. So All right. Now we're going to rattle off some of our buzzer beater Super Bowl questions. So are you ready for some rapid fire? Let's go. Okay. First one up, which bagels defense will come out in L. A. The first the one that we saw in the first half versus the Chiefs are the one that we saw in the second half. I think this Bengals defense will be as sharp as we've seen them. They have two weeks. Everyone gets healthy. Everyone preps. I think you get the best of everyone And you mentioned that chief's game, they allowed 21 points in the first half. Just three in the second half and over time. But overall I think this whole game favors RAMs offense. It's a great matchup for the rams offense. Cincinnati is a top rush defense where the RAMs are lower tier rushing team, They want to pass the ball, they have a top five passing offense and they're going against a lowly Bangles past defense. Rams are just too efficient with the ball. Top five and yards per play. So this matchup favors the rams more passing yards, borough or Stafford. Stafford, he has higher completion percentage, more pass yards and more past touchdowns in these playoffs than Joe Burrow. So for pass yards per game, Stafford has burrow by over 20 in the playoffs and going against this porous Bengals past defense. I was talking about, I like Stafford more receiving yards. Cup or chase similar questions. So similar answer. I like cup he has dominated from the slot and giving Sean McVeigh two weeks to prepare and find more holes in this Bengal secondary plus, Stafford and Cup are so locked in.
