"Billie" Wants To Level the Paying Field for Women's Razors
Subscription Services like Dollar Shave Club have changed the game for the men's shaving industry. Georgina Gooley and Jason Bravman felt like it was about time the same happened for women's razors. The pair launched "Billie" today, a subscription-based razor company specifically for women. The company has made low costs and high-quality materials priorities for the brand. They actively fight against the "pink tax," a term for the discrepancy in price between products for men and women. Billie has been completely made in the US and is direct-to-consumer, which keeps prices lower. The company has also launched body washes, shaving creams, and lotion to create a full-line offering. For now, the company is excited to be off the ground, and is looking forward to getting razors to women across the U.S.
