President Biden has moved to protect more than 10 million acres of Alaska's wild lands. The administration announced it will cancel seven oil and gas leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge leases issued under the Trump administration. Now, the area provides habitat for a range of Arctic wildlife. The move will not block Cano Phillips Willow project which the president has already approved and is set to make 576 barrels of oil in the next 30 years.
