Big Freedia Talks New Business Ventures, Music and TV Show 

Uh meantime, guys, our Asia Salino sat down with iconic bounce music superstar Big Frida, who you might have heard on some of Queen Beyonce's big hits, like Break My Soul. And now they're working on some special new projects and they also have a new show called Big Frida Means Business, which is Erin on Fuse TV. Here's what our Asia Salino found out for us. So tell us about some of the different ventures that you're gonna be focusing on and working on this season. Well, you know, the new show is coming back on F and um super excited about all of the new business ventures that I have going on the hotel, the Eyeglass line, the Cannabis line, the new record label. And it's going to be quite interesting to see me and, and my team attacking all of these things and making things happen. Can we talk about the hotel because you're becoming one of the first black hotel owners in New Orleans. Tell us about this concept. I looked into it. It's giving like country club, right? Yes, it's definitely giving country club vibes, but it's gonna be free the vibes. Um And it's going to be a music venue, um, hotel and restaurant all in one where people can come eat and sleep and enjoy music and, and fun and great times. And, um, it will be definitely a staple here for New Orleans and for people all around the world to be able to come see me and the things that I'll have happening at Hotel. You're also talking about the cannabis line this season. Why was it the right time to get into the weed business for you? Um You know, it just, everything just happened in God's timing. I've been a cannabis lover for a long time and for now for it to happen legally and to um get to be able to experience it now and you know, also the opportunity for my fans to get the smoke with Frida likes to smoke, you know, so it's perfect timing for the show. Speaking of creativity, fans spotted you and heard you during Beyonce's Renaissance Tour. And I have to ask, have you tasted any visuals for break my soul yet? And what can you share, what can we know about this? Well, I mean, I'm, I'm seeing all the things that you all are seeing. You know, I'm seeing all of the clips on the internet and um you know, super excited to be a part of, you know, such a great moment for Beyonce and for such a great song. So people are definitely sending me all the different clips and saying that they hear my voice and, you know, they hope to see me on the New Orleans stop and, you know, I'm excited. Hopefully I'll be there as well. Also want to ask what you have going on in music right now. What's next? What's next? Well, I have a new single dropping on Friday to Call Bigfoot and, um, the new album, Central City drops also in June, same time as the show is airing. So all of the great things happening with the new music, you know, new, great collaborations on the album and I'm super excited about the whole project. It has been a minute since I released the album. So people will get a chance to see, you know, me in my full form of representing for New Orleans and for the culture of bounce music and for myself.
