Cheddar has been covering the biggest news of the week with some of the biggest names. In case you missed it, we've pulled together some of the highlights that will keep you informed as we get ready for the week ahead.
Bill Maher's New Pod
Comedian and host Bill Maher joined Cheddar News this week to talk about his brand new podcast Club Random with Bill Maher. He said while he resisted joining the trend of starting a podcast, he had a desire to have more in-depth conversations about a wide range of topics — not just political chatter. "People kept telling me when I was out to dinner, you're so interesting and all these other topics you never get to on Real Time because it's basically a purely political show, why don't you do a podcast?'" Maher also talked about some of his most impactful experiences over the course of his career.
Ray J Talks Raycon Business
Singer, actor, and entrepreneur Ray J stopped by Cheddquarters this week to dish the deets on his Raycon brand business ventures. Raycon is a small Black-owned tech firm that specializes in studio quality sound in its earbuds, headphones, and wireless speakers. "We're scaling rapidly and I think we separate ourselves from everybody else in the earbud business because we have the best prices, the best colors, the best style, the best fit, for half the price," he said.
Jason Alexander Talks Flu, New Film
Actor and comedian Jason Alexander joined Cheddar News this week to talk about his recent public service duties in joining the Not Today, Flu campaign ahead of the autumn season. He noted his familiarity with the flu vaccine after having taken it for more than 20 years and his advocacy for maintaining health. Alexander also talked about his Comedy Central film Out of Office. "It's essentially a comedy about the fact that we've all been working but we haven't been together in an office," he said. "It should be something a lot of us relate to about what it's like to have to deal with being in an office when you're not in the office."
