Bipartisan Lawmakers Travel to Taiwan for China Talks

A delegation of Democrats and Republicans landed in Taiwan today for a three day visit with the President of the Chinese Republic. Taiwanese President Sing Wen. Now the visit is meant to improve America's relationship with China, which is the US s largest trading partner and strategic competitor, both economically and politically. Taiwan has been at the center of a broader effort for China's diplomatic expansion. The bipartisan delegation traveling to Taiwan is led by Republican lawmaker Mike Rogers who is the chairman of the bipartisan committee.
