Boeing 737 MAX Completes First Domestic Flight in Nearly Two Years

December 29, 2020
The Boeing 737 MAX has returned to U.S. skies after nearly two years, carrying passengers from Miami to New York City on an American Airlines flight earlier today. The MAX had been grounded following two deadly crashes - one in Indonesia in October 2018 and one in Ethiopia in March 2019. Al Root, senior writer at Barron's, explains why airlines such as American are planning to roll out flights on the 737 MAX regularly throughout January. Root also discusses if he would be willing to get on a Boeing 737 MAX.
