between bachelorettes. The ladies and the men all made their way to bruges Belgium and well things got off to a rocky start to say the least. Ariel. Oh that is so right Hannah Logan and um yeah, so if we other suitors were given a date card to ignite the romance. However the date was met with mixed emotions. Logan told racial, he initially felt a stronger connection with Gabby and those feelings haven't gone away. Ouch take a listen this journey. First group date going over to your house. You and I share like a real connection and I also got to talk with Gabby and me and Gabby also had a strong connection and at the end of the night I originally thought that I was going to receive a rose from Gabby. Ah The rest of the day was pretty hard for Rachel. She broke down the moment Logan left calling herself a failed bachelorette. You are not and was left confused and frustrated as to why men keep rejecting her. However, the men who were actually there for Rachel remained blissfully unaware of their bachelorettes problems. Shortly after Logan left Rachel, jesse, palmer informed the guys their group date would no longer be happening but the Logan show must go on Logan revealed to Gabby he'd been on fire for her from the first group date. Gabby quickly ran to racial to get her side of the story ultimately giving Gabby her blessing to pursue him. How are you feeling? Because like I want you to get what you need out of this if that's something you want to pursue. I don't ever want to put you in a place by like having to see him or you know, I don't want you to be thinking about me so much that you like, if you genuinely think something could be there, that you lose it, you know what I mean? A little sister, heart to heart there and I'm moving on to the second half of Rachel's group date. She filled the guys in on the Logan situation, but they were quick to distract her. Meatball, assured Rachel that all of the guys really missed walking around the city with her and Tyler took her to a hidden room full of Lights city. They went on a boat ride through the canals, munched on some waffles, waffles and got slapped in the face with some fish. But as soon as Logan showed up, so did the drama, he told Gabby he was grateful for a second chance and ended the night with a kiss and when it was all said and done, Rachel even gave a rose um gave a rose and Gabby ended her evening by giving johnny a rose. And at the Rose ceremony, Gabby's guys were clearly annoyed that Logan had joined them, but probably not as upset as Rachel, especially after watching Logan get a Rose from Gabby drama joining us now to break the episode down further as co host of Game of Rose's podcast chat. Cut Logan and lizzie pace. Welcome to the show. Guys chad Logan stepped away. Of course, Logan stepped away from Rachel to pursue Gabby. What are your thoughts on men's switching teams at this point in the journey? Well, specifically with Logan, this is a producer tactic. The leads both know who their ring winners are by the first or second night or at least their top three Logan is not among them. The producers have kept him around specifically to incite this exact type of drama. The Rose that he was given in the last Rose ceremony was a Rose given by producers and now he's just kind of playing out what they want in my estimation to probably get a high placement in paradise. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up seeing Logan on a two on one date next week really, as the reason they kept him around. That's my guess. Okay, this is so interesting. The fact that the producers definitely have a movement in this is blowing my mind, lizzie back to you though, Rachel ended up canceling her group date after Logan loved. How do you think that Rachel is handling this process so far? I think that Rachel is handling it the best that she can. I think any criticism of Rachel is kind of ridiculous because the producers are putting her in this position over and over again. I I don't feel like they're protecting her as much with they have hours and hours of footage of Rachel, but they're only showing these clips where she's feeling super insecure. So we're not really seeing that she's been through this traumatic event when we're seeing her live interviews. But obviously watching this back is honestly kind of hard for me when they don't protect the leads like this. Yeah, I'm with you there chad what do you think of Gabby giving Logan arose after that? Were you rooting for that situation or wanting to see someone like Mario for example, move forward who has put in the time this time? I mean it doesn't really matter the putting in of the time. The game that all these players are playing is really a game against the producers and Logan is playing it better than Mario at this point he might have got Mario might have gotten the first impression Rose, but Logan knows how to have a longer lasting run a deeper run in this regular series by making deals with producers doing what they're asking. And I don't think Gabby has much of a choice here either. The producers are telling her Logan has to get this Rose and lizzie. If we were to start earlier up in the game and just start to pair them off johnny and Gabby and Tino and Rachel are the two relationships that kind of stick out to us the most. Are there any other duos that you kind of like I think Tino is playing a really strong game this season. I feel like he he's posted on his instagram that he has kind of looked up to Tyler Cameron in some ways. And I feel like that is the type of play style that he has adopted. They both work in construction and I can see him being either the final rose recipient for Rachel or a leading contender for next bachelor. All right Chad, we're 19 seasons in 19. Why do you think we're also obsessed with the Bachelorette still? Because it is at least in my estimation, it's the fifth american professional sport. The fandom of this show ourselves included. Watch it like a sport. We tabulate statistics at this point we break it down like a sport and it has these repeating patterns in it that are very much like the sport and I think you, you know, ultimately that really is what sustains the fandom we have thankfully this year we had an off season where we got to, you know, kind of lament the fact that the show is not on the air. And we got to build up anticipation and excitement and all the rookies come out and we get to look at all their instagrams. It really to me is like the NFL, so we have the ritualized viewing. Yes, exactly, monday night, you don't book plans for monday night, you just have bachelor facts and lizzie. So we can end on a fun note because I was completely shocked that this happened in the episode, But would you want to get slapped by a fish for a date? Absolutely. But I'm pretty good at rock paper scissors, so I probably wouldn't, yeah, I would rather get slapped with a fish than be forced to engage in physical combat with my fellow competitors.
