California Ports Face Delays as Cargo Ships Sit for Weeks

The ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, CA are two major gateways for about one-quarter of all U.S. imports. But neither is operating at full capacity due to labor shortages, disagreements over operating hours, issues with warehouse operations, and more.
