Can AI and ChatGPT Replace Jobs?

80% of business leaders surveyed by the world Economic Forum say they plan on digitizing more jobs out there companies by 2025. And with the rise of chatbots like chat GPT the day that Ai replaces more careers might be sooner than we think chatter news. Senior reporter Michelle Castelluccio is here with us for a closer look at chat GPT and what it is already capable of. It's a little bit scary Michelle um what jobs could this tool replace Kristen? I have to agree. It's a little bit scary as someone who's watched too many science fiction films. One of my biggest fears is the robots are going to get smarter, take over and then travel through time and change the course of history. But I don't think we're there yet in case Skynet is listening. But what we, what we are already seeing is the text based chat bot chat G b T. Has already proficient at passing several exams to qualify for some surprising career. So let's start with this recent study at the University of pennsylvania's Wharton School of Management. It found that chat GPT received a B two B minus grade in a business management exam that chat bot excelled at basic operations management and process analysis questions but it did have a hard time with more complex ideas and it made a basic mistake with some stuff like basic math chat GPT also went to law school at the University of Minnesota where it received a C. Plus grades on exams for four courses it took 95 multiple choice questions and it wrote 12 essays technically it passed but barely. But now this is really interesting because it's good on paper that they're passing. But if you think about these two jobs they really require in person interaction. So business deals rely on interpersonal relationships and often times you're gonna need a litigate as a lawyer in person. So the bigger risk right now is that I think students are going to use these bots to take their exams which might make them less qualified in the future. And interestingly enough, there is a middle school teacher in the Bronx that use chat GPT to help write her some lessons for kids and that's according to the new york times, the class was asking students to evaluate if they thought chat GPT was effective as a teacher or not. So I think we're gonna see more of this chat GPT as an aid rather than any full replacements anytime soon. But let's remember, Google is also getting into the game chad. Djibouti is owned by Microsoft and you're seeing Google announced today that they're going to release Bard, which you'll start seeing on your search results in the next few weeks and a question answer format to get you a little bit more information again using that chatbots ai to give you more detailed answers. It is highly controversial. I had put out a story at a clip in fact about this a few weeks ago and I got a lot of responses that you know people are using it in their business lives already. What about tech specific jobs, Michelle, this is obviously engineered by some tech geniuses. Could it come after their own jobs? Well, you know, chat GP has already had some success with those as well. So it's starting Kristin Demi instructor, Stefan Merrick had it take his AWS certified cloud practitioner exam and it passed. So another internal document from Google obtained by CNBC shows that CHAT GPT could pass interview exams for basic coding jobs from that company. So Kristen it does sound like end times right, but like the two jobs I mentioned earlier, there are a lot of experience and interaction based questions on these interviewing exams. So for example, some of the interview questions for facebook involve asking people to tell them about the time that they have to serve solve a certain problem or conflict and CHAT GPT doesn't have those qualifications and this experience could be vital for higher level managerial jobs and other tech tests have shown that basic coding is pretty good for chat GPT but it isn't accurate past that. It can be used right now to write simple prompts and then a personal experience needs to tweak the responses to help it fit more complex tasks. Companies like stack overflow have banned chat GPT, This was making too many errors. Some analysts have pegged it still about 2 to 3 years away from being a decent coder, others are saying it's going to take up to 10 years. You know, I feel like the same conversation in all honesty was happening eight years ago or so. Right. And we're all still standing. So I'm optimistic. Michelle knew well, you know, I did have it try to write me a bio and it was partially right. And then all of a sudden it started adding things like I worked for companies. I didn't like the new york times and the Washington post. So it's still having a lot of errors. I think we're still a few years away from it. Taking a lot of jobs. All right.
