Medical marijuana has been legal in California for more than two decades but cannabis is now sold legally in the Golden State. Alyssa Julya Smith visited one of three cannabis dispensaries that have received their license to sell recreational weed. With hundreds of customers waiting in line down the block in West Hollywood, MedMen Dispensary's CMO BJ Carretta gives an overview of the different types of cannabis, the packaging, and how many people are using the now-legal substance. He talks about how marijuana is being used for pain, anxiety, and many other types of illnesses, even within intimate products to help increase sensation. After $10 billion in sales across America in 2017, the new legislation in California is expected to increase these profits in 2018. California is the sixth state to introduce the sale of recreational marijuana, after Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Nevada.
