In California, sales of recreational marijuana have been legal for nearly two years. A study by BDS Analytics projects the market is on track to reach $3.1 billion in sales this year. That sounds great. Except that same study suggests California's illegal market will generate $8.7 billion in sales. Even the biggest names in the business have trouble taking on the illegal market. According to the American Migraine Foundation, over 1 billion individuals suffer from migraines. Is cannabis the answer? A recent study from the University of Colorado suggests that the frequency of migraines in patients using cannabis fell from 10.4 per month to 4.6. Secondary findings showed smoking marijuana worked best for treating acute migraines while edibles helped prevent headaches. Is it time trade in aspirin for a joint?
