New York state leaders are moving ahead on the budget without an agreement legalizing recreational cannabis use, Melissa Moore, Deputy State Director New York, joined Cheddar to discuss the topics dividing NJ lawmakers. As more states continue to legalize marijuana, how do we ensure that revenue flows back into the communities impacted by the war on drugs? Shaleen Title, Commissioner at Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission, joined Cheddar to discuss. Los Angeles has announced plans to dismiss or reduce as many as 50,000 marijuana-related convictions and said it will meet California's July 2020 deadline for prosecutors to review cannabis convictions that might be eligible for expungement.
