Cannabiz: Talking Tax Rates, The Black Market and New NYSE Listing

Democratic New Jersey Governor, Phil Murphy, is inching closer to legalizing marijuana in the state but he's still facing a few hurdles. New York Times correspondent, Nick Corasaniti, joined Cheddar to discuss the $42 per ounce tax being proposed. Plus, California is already feeling the effects of high tax rates, reporting tax revenue of $345 million. That's almost half of what was initially expected. Alyssa Julia Smith spoke to NUG CEO and co-founder, Dr. John Oram, about how the tax rate has forced California companies to compete with the black market. And CannTrust, one of Canada's leading cannabis producers, just listed on the New York Stock Exchange. CEO, Peter Aceto, spoke to Chedder about the the significance of the move.
