Queen Charlotte is a historical figure. But your portrayal within the Burger universe is unique to this story. How did you prepare for this? And embody Queen Charlotte. So I did some research, I read um a really good book called The Strangest Families by an author called Journalist Hudlow. Yeah, Corey knows this. And um I went to Kew Gardens where the two of them lived and I walked around um and then I just had great scripts to, to read and gold has performed kind of obviously has kick started this whole franchise and this whole, well, not the whole franchise, but this, this prequel, this show. Um So I look to her to kind of um give me some kind of reassurance, make sure I'm doing it kind of OK. And um to get some kind of through line um performance wise and, and where she kind of pitched Charlotte when she was younger, there are so many things to love about this character. I find myself thinking, you know what, I'm gonna put burger on and learn some lessons from Queen Charlotte to get my day started because she's just so unapologetically herself. Her favorite characteristic is about Queen Charlotte. I think that is, that for me is something that I take away every time that I play her is that sense of she knows who she is. She's confident in her, in her own skin. She, you know, has a real sense of womanhood, sisterhood. And I think the, you know, seeing her vulnerable is a really interesting uh space to be in because, you know, Bridgeton shows her as, you know, really vibrant and the glitz and the glamour. But Queen Charlotte really takes us behind the scenes of the woman and really shows, you know, those kind of intimate parts of her. This is a beautiful love story. But I think in many ways, it's a really good self love story. So I'm wondering if playing George has changed you personally in real life. The reason that I act is uh to try in any way to uh get out of my own head to lose myself in that moment. Um And in order to do that, you have to focus on the, the honest truth of the humanity in that moment. And I think through exploring and, and, and trying to discover that and, and, and placing your imagination and your consciousness into someone else. You are always going to grow. It's not necessarily conscious, but I, you know, I am a different person. I am a different person than I was uh a year and a half ago when, when I first got this job, uh, I would have hopefully been a different person anyway.
