Authorities in Kern County, California seized $1 billion in illegal cannabis plants that had been grown as hemp crops. The plants allegedly tested for well-above the legal limit for THC levels in hemp. Despite legalization, the illicit black market for marijuana products continues to thrive in the Golden State.
