Celebrating the Start of Pride Month With Stonewall Inn Owner Stacy Lentz
June 1 marks the start of Pride Month and Cheddar News is kicking off the celebration with the iconic Stonewall Inn. In June 1969 a police raid at the gay bar in New York City sparked a six-day uprising that marked a turning point for the LGBTQ+ community's fight for equality. Stacy Lentz, Stonewall Inn co-owner, joined Closing Bell to talk about the bar's history and the ongoing equality movement.
Tom Smothers, half of the Smothers Brothers and the co-host of one of the most socially conscious and groundbreaking television shows in the history of the medium, has died at 86.
With the holidays here, there are so many in our communities who are less fortunate and can use our help all year round. Cheddar News visited two organizations in need of volunteers.
