The Department of Justice filed a civil antitrust lawsuit in an attempt to block AT&Ts acquisition of Time Warner. The Department says the $108 billion deal will lessen competition and raise prices in both industries, hurting Americans. The suit is set to be the largest of its kind in decades. Tuna N. Amobi, media analyst at CFRA Research, told Cheddar he did not expect this news out of the Justice department. He also questions whether the move is meant to protect consumers, or if it's simply a political move by the Trump administration. Time Warner is the parent company of CNN, which has been critical of President Trump.
