Well, New York Comic Con is the East coast biggest pop culture event and news is senior reporter Michelle still is on the ground with more. I Michelle. Hi. Yes, I'm here at New York Comic Con. It is the largest comic convention in North America. More than 220,000 people showed up this year last year and they're expecting even bigger crowds this year. Everything is in full force here. We actually at the meta booth right now, they were a Kickstarter company that started out as a trading card company but actually picked up in popularity and one of the big hot items at this year's Comic Con are these collectibles. It's a mystery bag and part of the fun is unboxing it and finding out what's inside. I'm about to unbox Chris's and ruin the value. But I'll do for you guys right now because we're really excited. So the line is filled out in 30 seconds. There's like hundreds of people waiting for these things, but we got our hands on it and this is the one we got. It is a K A partnership with San Rio. Now, you might be thinking this is a really cute plushy toy, but these boxes unboxed already going on ebay for about $500 and some meta used trading cards have been sold for up to 50 to $70,000. So really excited to get their hands on them to collect here comic on part of the fun. Here's a car that goes with it. I love that Michelle. So certainly seems like there's a lot of action there right now. What's the pulse like being at this massive event? You know, it's really one of the greatest fan events, comic conventions around the country. They really picked up in popularity, especially with the growth of fandom. Now we're here mostly in the collectible trading card section. But earlier this morning, we were actually over near anime. There's something a little bit for everyone here. They got panels, they got activations. So it really has a lot of energy. A lot of excitement. Tons of people in Cosplay. I'm actually Cosplay as April o'neil. If anyone who isn't familiar with her for those 80 90 s out there, of course, the reporter from teenage mutant ninja turtles, but again, lots of energy, lots of fun. Lots of people just excited to be out and find other fans that are friends with them that are friends with the same franchise and really just a really collecting of people. How is Comic Con different Michel that you might be finding this year versus the ongoing sa a strike. I know you've been to Comic Con several years. So I'd be curious to hear your take. Well, you know, usually the actors and a lot of the project creators are a really big draw for the panels. And because of the S A Afro rules, they aren't really allowed to talk about their new projects while the strike is in place. However, we did talk to RE pop which organizes New York Comic Con as well as other conventions around the country. They did work hand in hand with S A Afra to be able to bring in some of those top talent. They just can't talk about specific projects and instead of taking random questions from the crowd, they were vetting the questions ahead of time. So for example, yesterday, Ewan mcgregor was here talking about his perfect cup of tea. So there's still a lot of star talent that is going to be here. I know that Chris Evans is expected to be here. A lot of those actors actually walk the floor in costumes. So you never know who you're going to run into. But yes, star talent is here. They're just working around those SA A rules today.
