Cheddar News Goes Inside 'The Little Mermaid' Premiere 

Good morning, everyone. Welcome back to wake up with Cheddar. I bake for chat and I'm in a, we're live in Lower Manhattan and Shannon Lanier is back from L A from the welcome back. We missed you. That's what we miss. Tell us more. Ok. Well, I miss you guys too. It's good to be back. You know what my family and I just returned from L A where we had a chance to see the world premiere of the highly anticipated new movie Disney's The Little Mermaid starring Hallie Bailey as Ariel. And it was amazing. Take a look here behind the scenes at the Little Mermaid red carpet premiere. Now it's just on the other side of this gate. So all the celebs are back here waiting to go in. Everybody's excited. Amazing. All right. You know, I'm excited to go. How excited are you to see this new movie? I am so delighted to see this new movie. I have been waiting since the announcement was made to see Haley in this role. I'm so so so excited for her carpet. Hey, we just did the red or blue carpet. They say you're inside the theater What are we gonna see? Little Mermaid? Oh, and there it is, we are right in the front. So we're so excited to have you join us under the sea for this big extravaganza. But mostly um we're just so proud to be able to bring this to the world. Now. It's a, it's over what you guys think about it, the, that such a beautiful family. Ok. So your kids love the movie. What did you think? I was blown away? I didn't think they could do better than the original, but it was amazing. I think they told a more complete story. They filled in a lot of gaps and answered some questions. Some adults may have had, they had some new songs, I will warn you, but I love the new songs. Maybe not one of them, but I loved all the rest of them. Flounder, the bird and the fish. They were actually more a part of this as was Sebastian more a part of that and being her, her posse surround her, helping her through this journey. So I had some other moments that really drop some knowledge and some wisdom and some nuggets for you. The C G I by the way is a lot better than say Aladdin was, it was beautiful, well done. The storyline, Lin Manuel Miranda did an amazing job. Of course, with the music. The cast here was phenomenal and of course Ursula Melissa mccarthy was outstanding. She got a lot of claps Ariel got a lot of claps Halle Bailey during her song. People were just like clapping. It was all good. Oh, that's so amazing. Thank you, Shannon. Always getting the best of and by the way, he is the best we know that. Yes. Well, remember we dressed up as the character. All right, Shannon. Thank you so much.
