Cheddar News Taste Test: New Strawberry Biscuit Ale

and welcome back Friends between Bells, Lieutenant Doby and baker machado. And if you love biscuits, who doesn't? And if you love beer, who doesn't why not combine those two flavors and try a biscuit beer? Well, our friends over at Hardee's teamed up with Southern Grist Brewery and guess what? Hannah. The scientists have created a magical thing. We actually told you about this new boozy partnership last week. And the folks over at Hardee sent us some of its strawberry. Get to try. Thank you Hardees. The drink is infused with two hund £100 of hardy's made from one is £200. That is a lot of biscuits. Can we talk about the alcohol content? 5.2. That's not very hot. Is that high? I mean, I think white claws five. Okay, so it's about the same as a white cloth. Right? So, cream ale with hints of flavors like strawberry jam and butter milk. And we're gonna taste it, cheers my interesting, So hardy is good job with the biscuits on this already smells like strawberry doesn't want to kind of smells like kind of like a dessert beer. Almost innocent. So what are you tasting when you try this good strawberry and beer, which is really good. I actually don't get any taste of biscuits, which is interesting. I mean, the biscuits, if anything is like the hops that you would normally get from like a beer? It's a very smooth sort of thing. I was almost thinking this would be like a breakfast beer? So, I'm looking at the ingredients. It's scratch biscuits, buttermilk powder, strawberry puree and a hint. All right. So you and I typically not a beer drinker, but if you had to give a sort of a beer rating, what would you want to, what from 1 to 5? I think it's a four. I really like it to be honest. I would I would give it about a 4.5. Also. This is a pretty good beer for something that I would normally never drink, which is great. And if you could pick any flavor of a beer, strawberry biscuits, all that other sort of stuff out there, what would you make your beer? Cherry coke, Cherry coke. You And I do love a good coke. Yes. If they could find, yes, it's called a roman coke. But if they could find some sort of way to give us like a canned spike to diet coke, I would be like, I would be the face of that. You like this though? I like it. I like it. The more I'm drinking it, the more I taste the biscuits, I'm getting more biscuits per gulp, which is good. That's always a good ratio guys, By the way, you can get your hands on the biscuit flavor brew at the southern Grist Nashville taproom and in select markets all through their website as well.
