Cheddar anchors J.D. Durkin, Hope King, and Baker Machado break down the latest earnings reports after the closing bell Thursday. For the second straight quarter, PayPal beat on earnings and revenue growth. The payments company generated $3.24 billion in revenue and added 8.2 million active customers, up 88 percent from a year ago. PayPal's Venmo unit saw payments nearly double. Cloud software company Atlassian also beat expectations, generating $193.8 million in revenue for the quarter. The company acquired Trello earlier this year. Lastly, E*Trade missed on earnings, posting earnings of $0.49 per share. But the company beat on revenue, generating $599 million for the quarter.
