Cheddar Weather: Friday Morning Forecast

Time. Now for a look at the weather, heavy rainfall here in the tri state area today, it is pouring outside of New York, but a break should be on the way this weekend. Plus it's still warm and humid down south. Here's your full forecast. I'm Samantha with your latest chatter weather update. Well, today we are tracking some heavy rainfall around the tri state area. Long Island to New York City and to Westchester and the Hudson Valley, there is a moderate risk of flash flooding. There could be a couple spots seeing significant flooding with rainfall in a couple of areas close to that five inch mark, maybe more. So we have a lot of moisture just along the east coast here in the Midwest. It is pretty quiet, a little bit cooler in the north northwest where we have the scattered rain showers coming through and continuing. Now by Saturday, a lot of that rain off the coast will be moving away. So the northeast gets a break through the Ohio River Valley. It looks nice and just a couple of showers along with the front tracking into the Great Lakes still cool across the northwest especially through the mountains from Boise to Salt Lake City. You are tracking those scattered showers late in your weekend. Now, next week, we're talking about a big warm up for the east here and you can see where it's going to be dry from Chicago to Washington DC. Atlanta. And, um, Florida is still pretty warm. A little bit unsettled. But overall, we have that warm feel coming back while it's cooler across the west. By Tuesday, early next week, we will start to track the chance for some showers and storms. There could be some strong storms taking shape in parts of the Midwest. So today New York City 62 with periods of rain. But you do have that sunshine in Chicago at seven 71. It is very warm and humid Atlanta at 85 and we have some hot spots. 89 in Miami with pop up storms 93 Houston and 97 degrees in Dallas. But a relief will be on the way when this cooler air comes through and you can see it's nice in San Francisco at 69 61. Seattle today with sunshine, cool temperatures, but the heat is on in Vegas today. Lots of sunshine. Temperatures topping out in the nineties.
