Welcome Welcome back to trending. Our next guest left the corporate world and is now making waves in the yachting industry. That's right, fake clark is the chief stew on the mercury yacht on below deck adventure. No, she's not in charge of healthy or hardy suits. She's responsible for the crew and making sure operations on the yacht run smooth, tough job Shan. So here with us now is chief stew fake clark. Okay, so you are in bravo's newest iteration of below deck, below deck um, adventure, which is really exciting. So passengers have this unforgettable experience, their paragliding, they're exploring caves. I mean you went from the corporate world. Did this what a jump. Absolute. I mean to be honest, I've always been quite adventurous. So when I was 21 I backpacked the world for about a year. So you know, I was like always campaigned staying in hostels, things like that. And then I pretty much like I hitchhiked my way around Vietnam and cambodia. So like I'm pretty well traveled and things like that. So I don't know how I've managed to travel so much and have a successful career in the corporate world. Obviously I was a business manager for a big makeup brand for nearly 10 years, changed completely. I got 2 30 I was like, that's it. I'm out. I'm changing my stilettos for flip flops. What was it like when you got that call that you're gonna be part of this huge franchise. Oh gosh! So I was on a little like kind of fishing boat in the middle of like south Carolina. I was so happy, So content and they run when they said you've got the position on below deck and I was like, do I want to like leave where I'm finally happy? And you know, um, you know, just relax to go do this crazy task. And I was like, you know what? I decline because I was like, I don't know if something in my gut just said, this isn't for you and you know what, if it ruins your life and you know, people are gonna be watching you like doing service and stuff and like I'm happy now. Like I finally found somewhere where I'm content and happy and then the next day I was like, what have I done? I still feel that way? Or do you feel like content with the decision now that you feel absolutely was the best decision decision. Yeah. So I rang him back and was like, I think I need a therapist and she was like, oh, I thought you was bringing to say like you want to come back. I was like, it's still an option. She was like, yes. I was like, okay, bring me on, let's go. I'm glad it was still an option. And I love how you post like behind the scenes footage on your Tiktok and like how film it is going and everything like that. So how different is it to have a crew on the boat and how does it impact the way you do your job? Oh my gosh. Yeah bless them. I mean these cameramen like obviously. So if I'm going up to the top deck and I've forgotten a fork for example and I have to run all the way down. Them Cameramen are behind me doing the same steps going up and down and they've got this huge camera on their shoulder and they're like I can hear them like panting behind me bless them. But you just have to like they ask you to just do your job, ignore them and crack on. And I just did what I was told by the way look at a camera for our jobs. I couldn't if I see a camera I'm always looking at is it hard to not notice that that's their ignore them completely. You just have to you just have to use mind over matter and I think the hardest thing for me was not being able to say good morning or challenge. Yeah. Or if one of them, one of them actually fell down the stairs like bad and I obviously wanted to like help him and say are you okay? But it's like no act normal and just carry on like oh God okay if you can do it go for it. But you know later in the season you know we know that some of the stars from real housewife Salt Lake city coming. Yeah. What was that? Like? Give us the real well, I will tell you that actually just come from heather's house house. Yeah, she well her and her friends invited me out to Salt Lake City to watch the first ever like episode of Below Deck. So they were one of my favorite charter guests. They were so fun heavens lovely. She's very witty, very funny. She says what she thinks, you know, she's a mom as well, so she's very caring and her friends were lovely and her friend Shane is like her best friend and now he's become one of my best friends as well. Did she take you to beauty lab? Did you get? Yeah, by the way, preview is also hint that you have a boatman's with deckhand Kyle dickered. Can you tell us anything about this relationship? Tell us about this boat man, It's just a load of rubbish. These are the photos apparently after the boatmen's that's happening. Is this true? Learn her face? You haven't seen anything that happens in the show. So maybe this is the first time you're seeing these photos that might not even be called. That might be somebody else, You know?
