Daily coronavirus cases are surging in the United States. In November alone, there were over 4 million new cases, more than doubling the record set just one month earlier. The economy has bounced back from the early days of the pandemic, but with more cases across the country and talks over a new stimulus package at a stalemate, could we be headed for the first "double dip" recession in the U.S. since the early 1980s? Beth Ann Bovino, U.S. Chief Economist at S&P Global Ratings, says current conditions are leaning towards a double-dip in her downside scenario.
