Crunchbase to Launch Diversity Spotlight to Shine a Light on Lack of Inclusion

According to BLCK VC, more than 80% of venture firms don't have a single Black investor and just 1% of venture-funded startup founders are Black. It's clear that startup funding has some issues when it comes to diversity, but publicly accessible data is also lacking. In an effort to drive change, Crunchbase is adding new data points to its platform to shine a light on the lack of inclusion in the startup world, specifically focusing on highlighting diversity within startup funding and leadership. Crunchbase CEO Jager McConnell joined Cheddar to discuss.
