Cheddar has been covering the biggest news of the week with some of the biggest names. In case you missed it, we've pulled together some of the highlights that will keep you informed as we get ready for the week ahead.

Dane's New Stand Up

Comedian Dane Cook joined Cheddar News this week to give us some background on his new stand up Above it All. The special was shot in the backyard of his Los Angeles home, and he noted just how different it was to film this way compared to previous shows he'd done. Still, he  confessed that this was his best project to date. Cook also talked about how his comedy has changed over the years and how he tries to keep his content fresh. "Where it's evolved is wanting to be more introspective but without losing the LPMs — that's laughs per minute in comedy jargon — I didn't want to lose that," he told Cheddar News. "I want to work on a routine that finds that middle ground that still can be hard hitting laughter but let people know a little bit more about me now at this point, 30 years into my career."

David Arquette Talks New Film & 'Scream'

Actor David Arquette joined Cheddar News this week to give us the inside scoop on his new film The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry. He also talked about his FOMO regarding the next Scream film after being killed off in part five earlier this year. "I think they got a tremendous cast and a wonderful director, so I'm sure it will be a really fantastic film. And Ghostface is just such a horror movie icon."

Paul Reiser's Return

It was a huge entertainment week at Cheddar News with a full slate of comedic performers. Actor Paul Reiser joined in on the fun and talked about his new Hulu series Reboot, which pokes fun at the seemingly infinite number of Tv reboots that are constantly being produced. He also talked about his return to stand up comedy and how it felt to be back on stage after so many years away. "There are not a lot of things that you can do in your 60s that feel the same way they did when you were 20. Stand up is one of those. It hasn't changed. It's you standing, talking, making people laugh," Reiser said.

Funnies With Danny Jolles

Comedian Danny Jolles stopped by Cheddquarters this week to dish on his new special You Choose. The stand up project takes a unique approach, letting the viewer decide which direction the rest of the set should go — think Netflix's Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. "I thought it was really interesting, just in general, trying to stand up in a different way. And then on top of that I was like 'I'm a really good liar.' I'm really good at making people believe things and I was like, 'I bet I can do it,'" he said. Jolles also talked about joining the cast of Babylon and what it was like starring alongside Brad Pitt.
