Data: Record Number of Americans Live Alone 

Data released from the US Census Bureau shows a record number of Americans living alone. Researchers say the numbers show an ongoing social change, not just a trend noting that the number of single households continue to grow every single year. They point to factors like people marrying later in life. The birth rate falling and extended life expectancy in 1948% of the population were single person households by 1970. That account was up to 18%. The latest data from 2022 shows that number has jumped again this time to a record high of 29% United Nations. Data shows the single person households are much more common in other countries. 39% of the population in Denmark and Norway are single person while the number goes up to 42% in Germany, 45% in Finland.
