DC Homicide Suspect Captured After Escaping Hospital

Police have recaptured a suspect wanted in connection with the murder of a Washington DC man. The suspect 30 year old Christopher Hays was captured yesterday in Oxen Hill, Maryland. That's just outside of DC. It was nearly six weeks after Haines escaped from a Washington DC hospital. He's accused of shooting and killing Brent Hayward back in August outside a convenience store. Haines was arrested in connection with the murder on September 6th and taken to a hospital after complaining about ankle pain. He allegedly attacked an officer who tried to handcuff him then fled the hospital. Police said Haines is expected to be to be charged with murder and escape.
